Christ the Word Catholic School is situated in Rhyl and has been established since 2019, providing inclusive education to 900+ pupils from the ages of 3 to 16 in a modern school setting.
We are currently seeking a passionate, resilient, empathetic individual to lead in a bespoke provision of support for learners with very high level of behavioural, social and emotional needs - from years 7 through to 11.
The successful candidate will
- Build positive relationships with our learners and support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Implement individual behaviour support plans and emotional literacy strategies.
- Promote engagement in learning through adaptive, trauma-informed approaches Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support Be a consistent presence throughout the day for our pupils.
- Support reintegration of learners into the main school environment when appropriate.
