We are looking for Chef’s/Cooks to join our Facilities Bank to work on a flexible basis on an ‘as and when’ basis when shifts become available, working at Rampton Hospital. We have various shifts to offer with Weekday-Only and Weekend-Only work available over 7 days of the week.

Previous experience of a busy catering environment is a requirement. To be responsible for the provision of the patient, staff or visitors meals by undertaking specific outlined and approved processes and procedures to ensure the quality and food safety of meals at service are safe and appropriate and within the guidelines of food hygiene legislation.

To ensure compliance with the Catering Food Safety Manual, Trust policies and procedures and to the Food Safety Act and Food Hygiene Regulations. To provide assistance and information as required around the patient meals and menus and to provide a point of contact between the catering provision and the wards to identify any issues or specific dietary requirements including allergen information.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
