Restoration Operative Wanted - Consistent Work & Weekly Pay

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on to join our clients growing specialist restoration team in

Newhaven

. You will play a key role in helping homes and businesses recover from fire, smoke, water, and flood damage.

This is a field-based role requiring a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service during emergency situations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend emergency call-outs for fire, flood, and water damage incidents
  • Conduct initial site inspections and assess the extent of damage
  • Carry out water extraction using specialist equipment
  • Set up and monitor drying systems, air movers, and dehumidifiers
  • Perform structural drying to prevent further property damage
  • Remove debris, damaged contents, and unsalvageable materials
  • Carry out fire and smoke damage cleaning, including soot removal from surfaces
  • Use specialist cleaning products and techniques to restore affected areas
  • Deodorise and sanitise properties to eliminate smoke odours and contamination
  • Safely pack, handle, and transport salvageable contents for restoration or storage
  • Document work completed through detailed reports, photos, and job logs
  • Ensure all works are completed within agreed timeframes and service standards
  • Maintain, clean, and check all equipment to ensure it is in safe working order
  • Follow strict health & safety procedures, including use of PPE in hazardous environments
  • Identify potential risks on site and take appropriate action to minimise hazards
  • (Please be aware your role may not be limited to these tasks)

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driving license and happy to drive.
  • Working mainly across east Sussex but can go further afield therefore they must be comfortable with overnight stays if and when required.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Access to a device to complete an online application.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
