Shape the Future of Social HousingWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Residential Surveyor to join a forward-thinking Local Authority property team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the acquisition, valuation, and management of residential property assets that support housing growth and community development initiatives.Working across a diverse residential portfolio, you will be responsible for delivering professional valuation and surveying services in support of housing programmes, property acquisitions, buy-back schemes, and Local Authority Housing Fund projects.The RoleAs a Senior Residential Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking residential property valuations for a variety of purposes, including acquisitions, disposals, buy-backs, and mortgage valuations.
  • Supporting the delivery of Local Authority Housing Fund initiatives and wider housing investment programmes.
  • Providing professional advice on residential property matters to internal stakeholders, senior management, and external partners.
  • Conducting market appraisals, inspections, and valuation reports in accordance with professional standards.
  • Supporting negotiations relating to residential acquisitions and property transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and RICS standards.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic housing and property initiatives.

About YouWe are looking for a property professional with a strong residential valuation background and experience within either local government, estate agency, housing, or a comparable property environment.You will ideally have:

  • RICS Registered Valuer status (highly desirable).
  • Experience of mortgage valuations, residential acquisitions, and property buy-back schemes.
  • An understanding of Local Authority Housing Fund programmes and social housing objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of the residential property market and valuation methodologies.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
