The role

The purpose of this role is to provide Orbit customers with the assurance of a dedicated and customer-focused approach for repairs delivery.

Ensuring our homes and communal spaces are safe, well maintained and that our contractual obligations to customers are delivered effectively and efficiently.

This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes.

What you'll achieve

You will be responsible for providing financial and quality assurance through establishing the integrity and credibility of repair works orders by means of a forensic review process.

Responsible and accountable for making continuous varying decisions around high value, complex and contractually sensitive tasks.

Ensuring all decisions meet contractual agreements and safeguard the organisation against legal action Responsible for the end-to-end management of Application for Payment (AFP) documents, from initial logging through to detailed line-by-line analysis, ensuring accuracy, contractual compliance, and timely processing Responsible for assessing contractor claims against the Schedule of Rates (SOR), contractual terms, and commercial agreements, acting as a key operational representative for contract delivery Accountable for processing and monitoring order cost variation requests via CRM and Housing Management Systems, ensuring full compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Challenge and negotiate directly with contractors to resolve disputes, ensuring outcomes are aligned with SLA requirements and contractual expectations.

What you'll bring

Essential skills Strong grasp of commercial and financial processes, including experience with Schedule of Rates, fixed-price, and cost-plus models Confident with numerical analysis and data interpretation, supporting accurate valuations and reporting High attention to detail, ensuring precision across documentation and payment validation Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or above) and other Microsoft Office applications, with reporting experience Good understanding of subcontractor management and the subcontractor lifecycle Desirable skills Knowledge of AFP management.

Technical repairs experience within the housing sector, or similar.
