Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking a dynamic, motivated and compassionate Midwife to join our busy Pregnancy Day Care team within the Maternity Division.
In this specialist role, you will provide high-quality midwifery care to women attending planned outpatient appointments for the assessment, surveillance and treatment of pregnancy-related conditions without the need for inpatient admission. The service supports women with complications including hypertension, gestational diabetes, suspected fetal growth restriction, reduced fetal movements, cholestasis, anaemia and other high-risk pregnancies.
Women receive comprehensive maternal and fetal assessment, including blood pressure monitoring, blood and urine tests, CTG, ultrasound where indicated, and review by a consultant or specialist midwife. These appointments enable the multidisciplinary team to monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, evaluate treatment, adjust management plans, and identify early deterioration.
Pregnancy Day Care reduces unnecessary admissions, supports continuity of care, improves patient experience, and optimises inpatient capacity. The role also includes supporting specialist midwifery clinics, including Diabetes, offering opportunities to develop advanced skills while working alongside expert colleagues.
If you are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality maternity care and making a meaningful difference, we would love to hear from you.
