The company Our client is a leading Specialist Multi-Disciplinary Survey Consultancy operating from several different regional offices throughout the UK, who is on the lookout for an experienced Utility Surveyor to join their growing team.
With survey teams strategically placed across the country, the ideal candidate will be based around London and the Home Counties to handle high-tier engineering utility detection across sites in London and SE England

Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience undertaking Utility Surveys.
- Full understanding of PAS 128 and the procedures involved.
- Understanding of site-specific hazards and H&S Procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, with effective problem-solving skills.
- A strong team player, capable of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other survey team members and colleagues of the wider group.
- Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the work.
- Demonstrable experience working with Electromagnetic & GPR equipment.
- Proficient IT Skills (Auto CAD Beneficial, but not essential).
- Hold a full clean Driving License.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to be able to manage your own time and workload.
- CSCS Card Holder (minimum).
- Beneficial to have experience with Trimble GPS, Total Stations etc.
- Right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Survey Execution: Carry out all aspects of a utility detection survey, from site detection to providing written reports and checking deliverables.
- PAS 128 Standards: Demonstrate comprehensive experience using both Electromagnetic location and GPR on a range of sites of various scale and complexity independently and as part of a team to strict PAS 128 standards.
- Health & Safety
Compliance: Conduct and complete dynamic risk assessments on site, actively communicating safety issues to the survey team, client, other stakeholders, and management.

Management: Manage client expectations and relationships professionally, including technical walk-and-talk sessions to guide clients through survey outputs and highlight areas of interest or concern.
- Site Documentation: Handle the administrative exchange of paperwork on site and ensure all necessary engineering permits are signed off accurately.

Control: Work in the office post-survey to perform quality control checks, execute data processing adjustments, and collaborate with Land Surveyors to guarantee absolute data accuracy.

Enablement: Contribute effectively to ensure the smooth running of projects within agreed priced completion periods and actively identify opportunities to up-sell additional company products and services.

Management: Ensure the company vehicle and all supplied high-tier survey equipment are carefully maintained in good working order in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal policies.
