Forge Operator (days or rotating shift available)
We design, manufacture and assemble precision forged and machined components at our fully integrated facility in the heart of the UK.

As a Forge Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing team.
Using your strong communication skills and practical manufacturing knowledge, you will apply a keen eye for detail while strictly following safety guidelines to help us produce high‑quality formed metal components.
You will contribute to the full end‑to‑end forging process, supporting the creation of world‑leading, mission‑critical components for the Defence and Aerospace sectors.
As a condition of employment successful candidates are required to satisfy ITAR (International Traffic In Arms Regulations) compliance and must fulfil the following before commencing this role:
- i. Currently hold the legal Right to Work in the UK
- iv. Pass Drugs & Alcohol screening at the start of their Mettis employment

- Furnace Operation: Experience in operating, loading, unloading, and monitoring furnaces in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Press Operation: Competent in safely operating and monitoring industrial presses.
- Tooling & Press Setup: Able to recognise and identify press tools, with experience in die setting, die changes, and monitoring die condition.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Able to spot, report, and react to production issues, with an understanding of how anomalies may affect operations.
- Material Handling: Licence to operate Forklift Truck (FLT)

KPI’s / Performance Indicators in line with accountabilities as agreed.
