Reading Borough Council is recruiting a Private Sector Housing Officer to join the Private Sector Housing Team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 12 months. You will lead a targeted project addressing damp and mould in the private rented sector, working with tenants, landlords and partner agencies to improve living conditions.
You will apply knowledge of housing and environmental health legislation, especially the Housing Act 2004, and undertake inspections using HHSRS.
