About the School

Radlett Lodge School is a specialist school for autistic children with learning difficulties. We have smaller class sizes (typically 5-8 pupils) helping to build important relationships. We provide a calm, supportive, and structured environment. We use creative and flexible approaches to teaching and care. We believe that every child can make progress in ways that are right for them. Each day may look different. Every day is important, and every child matters.

About the Role

We are looking for teachers who are patient, caring, and committed to inclusive education. The role is suitable for someone who:

  • Adapts lessons to meet different learning needs
  • Recognises and values progress of all sizes
  • Understands that behaviour is a form of communication
  • Creates a classroom that is structured, calm, and supportive
  • Works well as part of a respectful, supportive, and inclusive team

We welcome both experienced SEN teachers and educators who want to specialise in this area. We provide training, guidance, and ongoing support throughout your role.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who meets the following criteria:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS required)
  • Has teaching experience at any stage (Primary, Secondary or Post-16)
  • Has experience of, or a strong interest in, SEN, autism, or learning difficulties
  • Is positive, kind, and resilient, and can remain calm and flexible when plans change
  • Believes that every child deserves to be understood and to receive high-quality teaching that builds on their strengths and meets their individual needs

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about children and young people and brings empathy, commitment, and consistency to their work every day.

This advert is for a full-time permanent role, at 35 hours per week.
