Radiology Clerical Officer / Receptionist – Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
The role is part of the Clinical Imaging Department at Weston and is a part‑time position, 3 days per week.
Working days are to be agreed but will include Mondays and Fridays, with participation in a Saturday rota and one late shift each week.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and receptioning patients.
- Accurately entering patient information onto the Radiology Information System (CRIS).
- Answering a high volume of telephone calls and coordinating administrative tasks within the CT service.
- Booking appointments, scheduling ward and inpatient scans, and managing CT service appointments in accordance with protocols for plain film and DEXA images.
- Coordinating transport for patients, liaising with patients and carers to arrange timings and home transport.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate imaging identification and documentation.
- Reporting faults on equipment and low stationary to line manager.
- Training new staff in line with departmental protocols.
- Participating in audit and quality improvement activities.
- Managing own workload, prioritising clinical urgency, and coping with interruptions and enquiries.
- Providing a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives, and carers.
- Following detailed SOPs and protocols, and reporting issues to the modality lead or line manager.
