An exciting opportunity has become available within the breast imaging department at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for two full time Band 7 Mammographer posts. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. You must be comfortable working under pressure, ‘multi-tasking’ and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.

The strongest resource we have is the team, who are enthusiastic, friendly and highly skilled and comprise Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Radiologists, Breast Care nurses and Advanced Practitioners. This is underpinned by a commitment to continuing professional development for all staff and actively encourages involvement in training and audit.

This post includes involvement in breast screening clinics at St George's Hospital and the 5 satellite screening units around South West London along with participation in Assessment and Symptomatic clinics. It is therefore essential that you are able to travel to any of these sites and are resident within reasonable travelling time of both St. George’s Hospital and our remote site locations. You must hold a UK recognised Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography.

We are housed in a purpose built facility, providing a light, modern environment from which to deliver a fully digital service. Due to the nature of the work this post is open to female applicants only. This provision applies under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 section 7(2) (d).
