We are currently recruiting for a Quality Tester / General Operative to join our client's team in Stockton-on-Tees.

  • Tuesday-Thursday 07.30am-16.00pm

Pay rate

The role includes

  • Inspecting and testing returned lawn mower parts/equipment.
  • Carrying out rework and basic repairs, which may include changing plugs and other components.
  • Fault finding and identifying issues with returned products.
  • Fixing faults where possible and ensuring products meet the required quality standards.
  • Re-palletising products ready for storage or dispatch.
  • Accurately recording test results, faults and rework information using computer systems.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Candidate

Excellent computer skills and confidence using computer systems to record and retrieve information.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify faults or quality issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using basic hand tools.
  • A logical and methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving .
  • The ability to follow technical instructions and work to set procedures.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A reliable and flexible attitude.
  • The ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday .
  • Previous experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
  • Quality testing or inspection
  • Mechanical assembly or repair
  • Garden machinery or lawnmower repair
