We are seeking a dedicated Property Surveyor to join our team.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality surveying and inspection services for planned, capital, and cyclical work programs.
The Property Surveyor will engage with a diverse customer base, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while managing budgets and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality surveying and inspection service for planned, capital, and cyclical work programs.
- Ensure responsive repairs and void works are completed to a high standard and within budget.
- Manage day‑to‑day repairs, including disrepair cases and major repairs.
- Specify and manage void repairs in a timely manner, adhering to current void policy and procedures.
- Conduct pre- and post‑inspections in line with the inspection regime.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and good practice requirements.
- Resolve complaints and queries from residents, leaseholders, and external customers related to repairs and services.
- Conduct property inspections for repairs, voids, and mutual exchanges, preparing specifications and works orders.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection requirements.
- Promote good practice and demonstrate commitment to the Equal Opportunities Policy.
Qualifications
- Qualified at HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject or training to this qualification.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of property surveying and building construction.
- Current knowledge of building construction and products relevant to properties and schemes.
Education Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in property surveying or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in a property service/maintenance environment.
- Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in the delivery of repairs, compliance, cyclical, and void works for a housing association or similar.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
