Property Inspector ( Mechanical ) - Ref 22090

Be responsible for the supply of materials from the workshops to various maintenance/contract works in all Aberdeen City Council’s housing and non-housing stock.

Supervise a multi skilled work force

Participate in investigations when concerns or complaints have been raised about standards of service or work.

Liaise with other Council Officers to ensure complaints raised about standards of service or repairs have been appropriately investigated and responded to

Liaise and attend various meetings, as required, with contractors, specialist firms, Council Services, other local authority bodies, private consultants etc

Update, develop and where necessary, procedures for monitoring and review in conjunction with other members of staff.

A knowledge of social housing stock and the construction methods used in building them.

A good knowledge of building regulations.

Good knowledge of the regulations relating to asbestos.

Understanding of current Health and Safety issues and all current legislation and statutory procedures.

Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word etc.

Be knowledgeable in current regulations.

Awareness of current health and safety legislation.

Risk assessments and method statements.

Driving License PVG Required
