We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Day Support Worker to join a supportive housing service in Bristol, working with women who have experienced homelessness and other complex challenges.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference, supporting women to access services, build confidence, develop independent living skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As a Day Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them maintain their accommodation and work towards their personal goals.

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing person-centred support to women with a history of homelessness.
  • Supporting residents with housing-related issues, appointments, and accessing community services.
  • Encouraging independence, wellbeing, and positive life choices.
  • Building professional and trusting relationships with residents.
  • Maintaining accurate records and support plans.
  • Working alongside colleagues and external agencies to deliver effective support.
  • Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and equality at all times.

About You

We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals who are committed to supporting vulnerable people. To be successful, you will have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK within a relevant field such as homelessness, housing, mental health, supported living, social care, or community support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced by women who have experienced homelessness.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • A current DBS registered on the Update Service.
