About the Company
Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering construction & refurbishment works.
This is a new department set up to specialise in fire protection and passive fire upgrade projects across the UK.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured works, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple fire protection schemes nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a proven background in fire safety compliance, passive fire protection, and refurbishment projects.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of fire protection upgrade projects within railway station & office environments.
You will oversee projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and fully compliant with current fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple fire protection and compartmentation projects across the UK.
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and specialist installers.
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation, building regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinating project programmes, resources and client expectations.
- Conducting site visits, progress meetings and quality inspections.
- Managing project budgets, variations and reporting requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety throughout project delivery.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, residents and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Producing project documentation, certification and handover packs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, refurbishment or specialist contracting.
- Demonstrable background delivering fire protection, passive fire, compartmentation, fire stopping or fire door projects.
- Relevant fire protection qualification or certification is essential.
- Strong understanding of current fire safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across various locations.
- Excellent communication, leadership and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required.
