Join Morley College London as a Progression and Learning Mentor and make a meaningful impact on learners’ lives by supporting them to succeed, progress, and achieve their full potential. Based across the North Kensington and Chelsea campuses, with opportunities to work within the wider community, you will play a key role in guiding learners through their journey from initial transition into college to progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment.

You will deliver engaging one-to-one mentoring, small group support, and dynamic workshops, as well as contribute to a structured personal development programme that builds confidence, resilience, and employability skills. The role involves identifying and supporting learners at risk of underachievement, managing targeted intervention caseloads, monitoring attendance and progress, and working collaboratively with staff, schools, and external partners. You will also support outreach activities, promote the College’s provision, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high‑achieving learning environment. This role is term time only and can include working up to 42 weeks per year. We are open to discussing alternative working arrangements at interview to support successful candidates.

You are passionate about supporting young people and adults to overcome barriers and succeed in education and beyond. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you are confident in building positive relationships and delivering engaging mentoring and group sessions. You have experience (or a strong interest) in supporting learners with diverse needs, including those at risk of disengagement, and are skilled in motivating others and promoting positive behaviour. Organised and proactive, you can manage a caseload effectively, monitor progress, and implement targeted interventions that make a real difference. You are committed to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion, and bring a flexible, community‑focused approach to your work. Above all, you are driven by a genuine desire to empower learners, helping them to develop the confidence, independence, and skills they need to thrive.
