Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established third-sector organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer for their Belfast-based team.

Your new role

As Procurement Officer, you will

  • Support the Procurement Manager in delivering effective procurement activities across the organisation.
  • Be involved in supplier sourcing and management, market research, contract and quotation preparation, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Help develop procurement procedures, support supplier negotiations, undertake risk assessments, and ensure procurement activities align with relevant regulatory requirements across the UK and Ireland.
  • This is a varied position offering exposure to contracts, supplier management, compliance, and strategic procurement initiatives
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar commercial function.
  • Experience supporting contract management and procurement processes.
  • Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and interpret financial information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Tendering experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience within healthcare, social care or a regulated environment would be beneficial.
