An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Middlesbrough.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys delivering high-quality design work and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed civil and structural design documents, including layouts, reports and calculations.
- Support Principal/Lead Engineers by reviewing and checking design deliverables.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for design development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to meet project milestones.
- Produce technical documentation and reports, clearly communicating project progress.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes and client requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while delivering work on time and to specification.
- Must-have Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (e. g., MEng or BEng).
- Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body, or working towards Chartership.
- Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles.
- Familiarity with STAAD Pro or similar design and analysis software.
- Knowledge of materials, construction processes and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience in continuous improvement or process optimisation.
- Previous involvement in major infrastructure or nuclear projects.
