Principal Building Control Officer needed in Liverpool. This is a temporary role and the rate is £66.92ph PAYE. The successful candidate will safeguard adequate standards of health, safety, and access for people in and around new buildings, changes of use, and the altered parts of buildings through the Building Regulation process.
The lead role as a Building Control specialist involves guiding the work of the city council to contribute to the strategic improvement of the built environment, including social inclusion, safety, and neighbourhood renewal. The successful candidate will maintain and develop a competitive Building Control service and coordinate, formulate, and implement strategies to maximise the section’s customer base and provide a quality service in accordance with agreed performance indicators.
