Wesham Rehabilitation centre is advertising an exciting post within Mental Health Rehabilitation clinical pathways, providing a model of rehabilitation care for 24 males which focuses on empowering the service user to gain or recover their confidence and skills that promote independence, autonomy and encourage hope for the future, whilst in recovery from a mental health illness. Encouraging the skills necessary to transition back into a community setting, we provide a welcoming and domestic feel to service users.

The facility is registered with the CQC as an Open Community Rehabilitation service, registered to accommodate service users detained under the MHA. There is access to a full MDT including nursing staff, occupational therapists, psychology, medical staff, and physicians associate.

A Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse in a mental health rehabilitation setting is responsible for providing high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder supports service users to develop independence, improve daily living skills, and achieve their personal recovery goals within an inpatient or community rehabilitation environment.

You will be a Nurse working within a multi-disciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties. As a Band 5 Nurse within the team, you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse Specialist and encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan. You will undertake a period of preceptorship overseen by a named Band 6 Nurse Specialist within your team and engage in the trusts Preceptorship programme.
