I'm recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a growing construction business delivering projects across the North West.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who wants to make a genuine impact, working closely with operational teams to embed a positive safety culture across the business.
You'll be the go-to person for all things Health & Safety, supporting site teams, carrying out audits and inspections, investigating incidents, reviewing RAMS and helping ensure projects are delivered safely and compliantly.
This role would suit an experienced Advisor looking for their first Manager title or an established H&S Manager looking for a hands-on role within a supportive and growing contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Support project teams with risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents and identify corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and safety training
- Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant legislation
- Provide practical Health & Safety advice to operational teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and safety culture development
- Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies where required
- Produce reports and track key H&S performance indicators
What We're Looking For
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
- Experience within construction, civil engineering, refurbishment or a related sector
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Experience conducting site audits and inspections
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and engage site teams positively
- Full UK driving licence
