Our client, a well-established and expanding automotive retailer, is seeking a professional Vehicle Preparation Technician to join their busy workshop in Leamington Spa. Duties as a Preparation Technician:
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, adhering to manufacturer standards
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Conduct visual inspections of vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify defects or issues
- Fit approved accessories and perform minor adjustments as required
- Complete all necessary documentation prior to vehicle handover
- Execute road tests to verify repairs and adjustments where applicable
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to high-quality standards
Requirements for the Prep Technician Role:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or currently working towards this qualification)
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven mechanical skills and diagnostic ability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Previous experience in a main dealer, independent garage, fast-fit centre, or similar environment is preferred
