Job Overview
This Senior Account Manager / Account Director role is a hands on leadership position where you'll combine strategic thinking with day to day campaign delivery. Rather than managing from a distance, you'll remain actively involved in media relations, client strategy and campaign execution while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the commercial growth of the agency. Working directly alongside the founder, you'll have the opportunity to influence business decisions, grow client relationships and help shape the future direction of the agency.

- Owning client relationships from initial strategy through to campaign delivery
- Leading integrated PR campaigns across UK and international markets
- Developing media strategies that generate impactful coverage across print, broadcast and digital media
- Briefing and preparing client spokespeople for media interviews
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists and media contacts
- Producing campaign reports that demonstrate meaningful business impact and media value
- Mentoring and developing junior PR professionals across pitching, writing and client management
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts
- Supporting new business activity, including proposals, presentations and client pitches
- Working closely with senior leadership to support the continued growth of the agency
Here's the skills you'll need:
- At least 3 to 5 years' experience working within a UK PR agency
- Currently working as a Senior Account Manager or an experienced Account Manager ready to step up
- Excellent media relations skills with a proven track record of securing high quality coverage
- Strong client management experience with the confidence to provide strategic advice
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Previous experience mentoring or managing junior team members
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify account growth opportunities
- Broadcast media experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Charismatic, curious and commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service
