The Job:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a poultry farm in East Yorkshire. This is a hands on management role with responsibility for flock performance, bird welfare, staff management, biosecurity and the overall efficiency of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the day to day management and performance of the farm
- Maintain high standards of bird health, welfare and husbandry
- Monitor flock performance and address issues promptly
- Manage feeding, watering, ventilation and environmental conditions
- Maintain strict biosecurity and disease prevention procedures
- Plan daily workloads and manage farm staff
- Maintain accurate flock, production and farm records
- Ensure compliance with welfare legislation and industry standards
- Prepare for audits and inspections
- Oversee farm buildings, equipment and maintenance requirements
- Liaise with senior management, veterinary teams and other departments
- Drive improvements in farm performance, efficiency and welfare

- Previous experience within commercial poultry farming

- Strong organisational and record keeping skills
- Comfortable working with livestock and the demands of a farm environment
- Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
