The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.
Office attendance is required a minimum of 50% of contractual working hours.
Based within the Adult Care and Support team, you will work with adults in need of care and support and their carers, identifying the needs and priorities of the service users and creating an assessment of their needs and support plan based on this. Working with information gained directly from them, you will identify the best resource to assist with their needs, calling on other resources where required. You will manage your own caseload, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while attending regular supervision and team meetings.
A key part of the role is safeguarding adults with care needs, ensuring practice complies with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You will also provide staff supervision, contribute to service development and projects, and maintain your professional development in line with Social Work England requirements.
Who is the person:
- You will have a qualification in social work, be registered with Social Work England, and have post-qualifying qualifications e.g. Best Interest Assessor, Practice Educator.
- You will have knowledge of adult social care eligibility criteria and a thorough understanding of adult social care legislation.
- You will be a good communicator with the ability to deal with conflict.
- With excellent assessment and supervision skills, you will have a full understanding and commitment to embedding personalisation and strength-based practice in all aspects of social care.
- The role requires skills in flexibility and negotiation and the ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently, working on your own initiative whilst dealing with competing demands and changing priorities.
