As the first point of contact for employee relations enquiries, you will play a central role in triaging queries, coordinating casework, managing formal hearing arrangements, and maintaining accurate records to keep our people-focused service running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- First Line Support: Manage the Employee Relations shared inbox and phone lines. Respond to routine enquiries, provide initial guidance on ER processes, and escalation complex issues appropriately.
- Casework & Hearing Coordination: Arrange investigation meetings and formal hearings, manage complex diaries, book rooms, assemble electronic hearing packs, and liaise with staff, managers, and trade union representatives.
- Formal Minute-Taking: Support complex HR investigations by taking precise minutes during meetings, agreeing drafts with senior colleagues, and sharing finalized copies with witnesses.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain ER trackers, databases, and HR systems. Produce regular and ad hoc management information reports on casework, sickness absence, and grievances to aid strategic decision-making.
- Policy & General Administration: Assist with updating HR policies, forms, and procedures alongside routine administrative tasks (filing, correspondence, and record archiving).
