Ecommerce Content & Editorial Specialist
Babipur is an independent family business, established in 2007. We want to give customers more than a standard online shop, with original content built from real products, real photography and direct relationships with the people behind our brands.
This role connects our website, search content, newsletters and social media. You’ll take what we learn about a product, brand or subject and turn it into useful content across each of those places.
What you’ll do
You’ll handle products, play with them, compare them and learn from the Babipur staff who buy, photograph, pack and answer questions about them.
You’ll build good relationships with brands and suppliers, interview the people involved and learn about their products, materials, manufacturing, design decisions and values.
You’ll create:
- Original product descriptions and collection pages
- Brand stories, interviews and Q&As
- Buying guides and detailed product comparisons
- Sizing, fit and measuring guides
- Toy guides covering ages, interests and play schemas
- Instructions, care information and practical advice
- Customer newsletters, from the initial idea through to writing, building and sending
- Social posts that make the information useful and relevant in a different format
You’ll work confidently in Shopify, managing products, collections, tags, filters, navigation, internal links and image information. You’ll understand SEO, website search and how customers use search engines and social media to discover products and find answers.
You’ll use customer questions, social conversations, search data and feedback from our team to spot missing content. You should recognise when something currently answered in an email, comment or conversation deserves a permanent place on the website.
Customers and sales
You’ll be interested in what content achieves. You’ll look at searches, clicks, engagement, customer responses and sales, then use what you learn to improve future work.
You should understand what customers want to know, what may be making a choice difficult and which details will help them feel confident about buying. Our approach to sales comes from good customer care, accurate information and helping people choose well, rather than pressure or exaggerated claims.
Original Babipur content
Our content comes from us. We use real Babipur photography, not AI-generated product imagery, and gather information directly from products, staff, customers, brands and suppliers.
You must be able to research, think, write and edit to a high standard yourself. Tools can support the process, but they cannot replace first‑hand knowledge, accuracy or your own judgement.
About you
You’ll be an excellent writer, curious interviewer and confident communicator, with practical experience of Shopify, SEO, email marketing and social content. You’ll understand how the channels connect and be able to turn one strong piece of research into several useful forms of content.
This is not an entry‑level role. It won’t suit somebody who copies supplier descriptions, produces generic marketing copy or needs every content opportunity pointed out.
