Griffiths is seeking an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our team in North Wales.
What you’ll be doing
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial team in delivering successful construction projects while developing your knowledge and skills through structured training and practical experience.
Your responsibilities will include
- Promoting and adhering to Griffiths' Health & Safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
- Supporting project teams in identifying and implementing improvement actions to achieve project profit and gross site margin targets.
- Assisting with the production, maintenance and submission of financial and commercial reports.
- Supporting supplier and subcontractor procurement activities and associated administration.
- Participating in project Health & Safety initiatives and contributing to a positive safety culture.
- Supporting the submission of applications for payment, monitoring certificates and cash receipts, and providing status updates as required.
- Assisting with periodic cost reporting, cost forecasting and project commercial performance monitoring.
- Contributing to change management processes, including the preparation of notices and assessments where required.
- Supporting accurate project record keeping and maintaining project documentation.
- Attending project meetings, taking notes on commercial matters and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Assisting with subcontract management activities, including administration and payment processes.
- Supporting tendering and pricing activities when required.
- Preparing and presenting commercial analysis and reporting information for management teams.
- Completing the Griffiths Approved Development Scheme (ADS) Training Plan and actively participating in annual development reviews.
- Keeping up to date with construction industry developments and best practice.
- Carrying out any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.
