We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing Library Assistant for our Client based in Portadown Library. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body.
STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis:
- Week One
- Tuesday - 10:00 - 17:30
- Thursday - 10:00 - 14:00
- Friday - 13:30 - 17:30
- Week Two
- Tuesday - 10:00 - 17:30
- Friday - 10:00 - 17:30
- Saturday - 10:00 - 16:00
Standard hourly rate:
Duties include:
- Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
- Providing all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Must have:
- 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
- 1 year experience providing face to face service with the public.
- Experience working with young children and elderly people
- Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
