A well-established precision engineering and sheet metal fabrication company based in Poole, with over 30 years of industry experience. The company works with a wide range of materials and supplies high-quality fabricated and welded components to customers across a variety of sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join their skilled workshop team.

The duties for the successful MIG/ TIG Welder

  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
  • Weld a variety of components and fabricated assemblies
  • Work from engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Fabricate and weld sheet metal components
  • Prepare materials before welding and complete finishing work where required
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets the required quality standards
  • Use workshop machinery and equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
  • Work as part of a busy and experienced production team
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and within required deadlines

The Requirements for succesfull MIG/ TIG Welder

  • Previous experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • Good welding and fabrication skills
  • Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Good understanding of workshop health and safety
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills
