We're excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an Engineering Shift Technician Engineer to join our dedicated and professional Engineering team in Poole, Dorset

Working Hours

The working hours are 2 Weeks of Days, 2 Weeks of nights. 05:45 - 17:45 / 17:45 - 05:45. 12 hour shift with 1.5 hours unpaid breaks per day.

Average of 36.75 paid working hours per week.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal line performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain product safety and quality by adhering to GMP and hygienic engineering standards.
  • Promote sustainability and efficiency through responsible resource use and process improvements.
  • Ensure systems remain compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities in the CMMS and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Support team development by sharing expertise and mentoring apprentices.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role either as an Engineering Shift Technician, Maintenance Engineer, etc.
  • Relevant Industry Qualification e. g. HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, etc.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a food environment is beneficial but not essential
