The KS1 Teacher will play a key role in delivering engaging and well-structured teaching that supports pupils during a vital stage of their learning journey. This role is ideal for a dedicated KS1 Teacher who enjoys creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment and supporting children to build strong foundations in learning.

Duties as KS1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Use assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
  • Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
  • Support transitions within Key Stage 1
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term role
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
