Our client, a leading food production company, is currently recruiting Production and Hygiene Operatives to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent following a successful trial period. This role involves working on production lines during operational hours, followed by cleaning and sanitising production lines, machinery, and work areas to maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established business with a strong focus on quality, safety, and staff development. Full PPE is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as a production line operative in a food manufacturing environment
  • Cleaning production lines, machinery, and equipment after production runs
  • Carrying out hygiene and deep‑cleaning duties across production areas
  • Cleaning floors, walls, walkways, offices, and welfare areas
  • Ensuring all areas meet food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Safe use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
  • Working in low‑level and confined spaces when required
  • Following all company procedures and food hygiene regulations

Required:

  • Previous experience in food production, hygiene, or industrial cleaning is advantageous but not essential
  • Fully paid training provided
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual and repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, stretching, and working in confined spaces
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour

Shift Schedule: 07:00 to 15:00, with later finishes when required depending on production needs.
