As they continue to grow, they are looking to welcome a CNC Operative into their Sewing Department to become part of their friendly, supportive team. If you're practical, enjoy working with machinery and take pride in producing quality work, this could be the perfect long-term opportunity.
The Role
Working within the Sewing Department, you'll operate CNC cutting machinery used to prepare materials for the manufacture of bespoke soft play products. You'll work closely with the production and sewing teams, ensuring materials are cut accurately and efficiently to keep projects moving and maintain the exceptional quality standards the business is known for. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop new skills within a growing manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC cutting machinery safely and efficiently
- Prepare and accurately cut materials using design specifications
- Work from existing PDF libraries and assist in developing new cutting files
- Carry out quality inspections throughout production
- Support sewing and production teams to meet customer deadlines
- Monitor material usage and report shortages when required
- Assist with stock control and general production duties
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures
- Contribute positively within a supportive production team
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career within manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse or production experience
- Experience using CNC machinery, Adobe Illustrator or CAD software would be highly advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety
