- Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) - Automated Chemistry
- 1. Receive, check, and process samples ensuring correct patient identification, appropriate sample type, and volume.
- 2. Prepare samples for analysis (e. g. centrifugation, aliquoting, barcoding).
- 3. Identify and elevate non-compliant samples in line with SOPs.
- 4. Record and communicate rejected samples appropriately.
- 5. Prioritise urgent and routine samples effectively.
- 6. Ensure samples are stored appropriately and safely.
- 7. Load/unload samples and manage workflow on analysers.
- 8. Operate analysers and assist in performing diagnostic tests.
- 9. Maintain analyser performance and workflow efficiency.
- 10. Perform basic maintenance and equipment checks.
