A warm and welcoming family based in Pratt's Bottom, a peaceful semi-rural village near Orpington, is seeking an experienced and proactive Housekeeper Cook to join their household on a temporary, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable domestic professional to provide cover whilst the family's permanent Housekeeper Cook is on sick leave. The household consists of two parents, their two adult children and a friendly Cockapoo.
The family is looking for a well-organised, trustworthy and self-motivated individual who can confidently manage the housekeeping whilst preparing simple, nutritious family meals. The ideal candidate will enjoy working independently and take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming home.
Housekeeping will form the main focus of the role and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard throughout the assignment. Duties will include:
- All aspects of housekeeping, laundry, ironing, household organisation and maintaining a tidy, well-presented home.
- Preparing straightforward family-style meals.
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
This is a temporary position covering a period of sick leave and would suit an experienced Housekeeper Cook who is available immediately and able to integrate quickly into an established household routine.
Main duties of the Housekeeper/Cook:
- Complete all housekeeping duties to a high standard throughout the property.
- Clean, tidy and organise the home.
- Carry out laundry, ironing and wardrobe care.
- Change and refresh bed linen as required.
- Maintain excellent household organisation.
- Monitor household supplies and advise when replenishment is required.
- Prepare simple, nutritious family-style lunches and dinners for four people.
- Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and well organised.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
- Be comfortable working in a household with a friendly Cockapoo.
Requirements for this Housekeeper/Cook job:
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeper Cook within a private household.
- Good spoken English essential.
- Warm, organised, proactive and reliable.
- Confident supporting both housekeeping and cooking.
- Dog-friendly and comfortable working around a friendly Cockapoo.
- At least two excellent checkable references.
- Available for the full duration of the assignment from 6 August to 16 August.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
