We are looking for a friendly, caring, and reliable female Personal Assistant/Support Worker to support a 22-year-old woman. We are seeking someone older than the individual being supported who can build a trusting and supportive relationship over time, helping to promote confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing.

The role will involve supporting with:

  • Accessing community activities and travelling to new places by bus and train.
  • Attending the gym and swimming sessions, including support with travel and participation where needed.
  • Building confidence in social and community activities.
  • Assistance with everyday living skills, including cooking, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organised home environment.
  • Providing support with problem-solving and managing situations that may be challenging.
  • Offering reassurance, encouragement, and emotional support when required.

The successful candidate will be a confident driver with a good knowledge of the local area and experience supporting people to access community activities. They will be patient, nurturing, and skilled at helping someone build confidence and independence, particularly when navigating situations that may feel challenging or overwhelming. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who can develop a positive, trusting relationship with her over time, helping her feel comfortable, supported, and empowered.

As the role involves working within the family home, the successful applicant will be trustworthy, reliable, and someone both she and her family feel comfortable welcoming into their lives. Ideally, they will also be able to provide guidance and support in situations where she feels unable to seek help from her parents, encouraging her to make informed decisions and advocate for herself with confidence.
