Job Title: Site Engineer - Heavy Civils
Contract: ASAP - 31/12/2026; could be extended
Hours: 7-7 Mon to Fri, 7-1 Sat
The Project:
You will be deployed on an extensive heavy civil works project encompassing water, drainage, and control building construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the senior project team in the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for this designated project.
Manage materials, plant, and labour within the allocated budget and resources to ensure safe, effective, and efficient service delivery.
Provide technical support and verify the work of others within the project delivery teams.
Lead or support project assurance by conducting audits and meetings to identify best practices, areas for improvement, and matters relating to safety, finance, and quality.
Ensure a relentless focus on "Zero Harm" and support the delivery of the client's sustainability activities.
Live the core values of the business while contributing to accurate weekly and monthly progress and productivity reports for senior management.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant customers, technical consultants, and suppliers.
Implement appropriate digital tool sets to support project execution, ensuring engineering is fit for purpose from conception through to installation.
What We Are Looking For:
A minimum of 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or an ONC/HNC, with up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
Strong site credentials: A valid CSCS card, First Aid, and SMSTS are required (the more site certificates you hold, the better!).
Previous management experience within the construction industry, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric, flexible approach.
A thorough, focused professional with the tenacity to advise senior management on necessary actions and immediate redress.
An understanding of BIM, including how to read/assemble BIM models and produce appropriate reports, is highly desirable.
