An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Development Management Officer within the Council's Planning Service. The role involves dealing with a varied and interesting caseload of complex minor and small scale major applications, and supporting our Principal Planners as a member of our project teams on major projects such as city centre developments and sustainable urban extensions to the city. The role also involves guiding and mentoring less experienced officers, driving up the quality of design and participating in service improvement projects.

Flexible and agile working is available, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. We also pay for your professional (RTPI) fees.
Are you a qualified planning officer with an RTPI accredited planning degree and at least 3 years broad experience in development management? Are you experienced in dealing with minor, other and householder planning applications? Are you an excellent communicator, willing to develop and grow professionally, and to support the growth of the wider team? Are you enthusiastic, dynamic and proactive?
