Our client is looking for a full-time Production Operator to take responsibility for operating a stone saw in their client's walling team at their manufacturing plant outside Peterborough.

This role benefits from a competitive hourly rate and a shared production bonus scheme.

Main Duties

  • Programming saws to cut walling and building stone.
  • Using the forklift to unload stone from lorries.
  • Loading stone onto stillages and putting stillages of stone into saws.
  • Clearing up area with skid steer loading shovel and forward tipping dumper.
  • Operating machinery provided.
  • Planning ahead and liaising with walling production Foreman to keep cropping line flowing each day meeting customers' demands.

About You

A background in stone masonry or construction it is not necessary as full training will be provided.

You Will Need to Have

  • Experience of working in production for a manufacturing company is an advantage.
  • Ideally, you'll have worked in a construction-based business and be used to working outside and/or manual work.
  • Forklift licence an advantage but all training can be provided.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
  • The ability to communicate clearly.

They provide all PPE required for the role.

Working hours are usually 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines (overtime is payable).
