Registered Nurse - Peterborough | North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

A2 is a 35-bedded surgical ward specialising in Urology, ENT and general surgery.

Our ward provides a fast-paced environment where the care we deliver can be demanding and with fast turnover, but equally offers extensive learning opportunities and the chance to grow professionally in a supportive setting.

We are looking for a committed Nursewho is dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring that we consistently perform to the highest standards, achieving the best outcomes for our patients.

You will work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team including surgical consultants, nurse practitioners, and critical care outreach, in a collaborative environment that promotes learning and growth.

  • Ensure safety and comfort: Monitor patients' condition and provide interventions as necessary, including administering medications, observing vital signs, and responding to patient concerns.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning: Support patients and their families with education on post-operative care, recovery, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate patient records: Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with Trust policies and standards.
  • Support team development: Engage in ongoing learning and development, participate in training sessions, and contribute to the development of the team.

Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
