We are a small, established construction company based in Peterborough, and we are looking to expand our team with an experienced and reliable Painter.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing surfaces to a high standard, both internally and externally, in residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint surfaces, including walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and other structural elements
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishing materials to a variety of surfaces
  • Fill cracks and holes in walls and surfaces and sand smooth to ensure an even finish
  • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and properly prepared before painting
  • Work with various paint types, including emulsion, gloss, and wood finishes
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard with a keen eye for detail
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • Work with the team to meet project deadlines and client specifications
  • Provide high-quality customer service when liaising with clients on site
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment
  • Handle and store painting materials safely and responsibly

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter within the construction or maintenance industry
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of finish
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in painting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • A valid UK driving license (preferred for travel to different job sites)
  • CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
  • Good communication skills and customer service orientation
