The predicted salary is between 37035 - 45265 £ per year.
To act as Executive Assistant to Executive Directors, their deputies and other senior managers as assigned, including supervision/line management of administrative/support staff where required. The post holder will ensure high standards of governance in line with best practice, probity, and statutory requirements, and provide senior administrative support for Board and committee meetings.
Working autonomously, the post holder will investigate complex issues, identify solutions, and manage a varied workload, including handling complex enquiries and prioritising effectively. They will plan and organise activities—some complex and subject to change—to support Directors in fulfilling their responsibilities, including Board/committee meetings, senior management engagements, and internal/external events. Project management responsibilities will include development and ongoing adjustment.
The role requires excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for Executive Directors and senior managers, work collaboratively within the Executive Support Team, and provide cover and undertake additional duties as required by the line manager.
Provide high-level executive support to Executive Directors, ensuring strong governance and compliance with regulatory, contractual and professional standards. Develop and maintain effective systems to demonstrate adherence to best practice and Trust requirements.
Act as Executive Assistant to the principal, managing complex diaries, coordinating priorities, handling correspondence, acting as a key point of contact, and ensuring timely access to information. Support the principal’s management responsibilities, including workforce matters such as appraisals, absence, training and leave.
Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders, including handling sensitive enquiries and complaints with discretion. Maintain efficient systems for correspondence, documentation and information flow while upholding confidentiality.
Deliver comprehensive support to the Board and its committees, including forward planning, agenda coordination, circulation and quality assurance of papers, tracking actions, organising meetings/events, and producing accurate, high-quality minutes.
Work autonomously to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and respond proactively to routine and urgent issues. Provide supervision to administrative staff where required and contribute to a flexible, collaborative Executive Support Team.
