Location: Broomhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland

Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests. This role involves overnight support.

About the employer: Our client is a 36-year-old female living in Broomhouse, Edinburgh who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with all daily living tasks. Our client is a full-time wheelchair and hoist user with several different health conditions which requires our client to have 24-hour care & support.

Duties:

  • Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
  • Attend medical appointments
  • Personal care: Support with all personal care, support with all medication and urostomy care.
  • Domestic duties: Support with preparing, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks. These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Specific requirements: Someone with care experience would be preferred. EpiPen & First Aid training preferred but training can be provided.

Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care, the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 6 hours + 18 night-time hours – days to be discussed at interview

Rate of pay: £15.72 per hour + £13.07 per hour during the night.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BASED IN EDINBURGH. Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References. This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
