The predicted salary is between 12000 - 18000 £ per year.

The successful applicant will be self-employed and will be provided with a fully plated taxi for which all running expenses are paid by the company including fuel, insurance etc. The driver will pay a weekly rental for the vehicle at a % of the amount they take in fares.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for at least 1 year. Ideally, you will hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire drivers license issued by Cornwall Council; however, for the right person, we can help you with this. It is a simple process and takes around 6 weeks.

We are looking to recruit an additional Friday, Saturday and Sunday day AND/OR night time driver, with the option to increase hours with holiday and sickness cover.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Picking up and delivering customers
  • Taking the fastest and safest route
  • Helping to load and unload the vehicle
  • Calculating the right fare and returning the correct change
  • Keeping your vehicle clean and in good working order (no one wants to get into a broken, untidy taxi)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Must be over 25 for insurance purposes
  • Hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire drivers license issued by Cornwall Council; however, for the right person, we can help you with this. It is a simple process and takes around 6 weeks.
  • No criminal record.
