We are looking for Family Help Workers (formerly known as Early Help Workers) to join Lincolnshire County Council's Family Help Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and families across Lincolnshire, helping them to overcome challenges, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
About the Role
As a Family Help Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people and their families with a wide range of needs. Acting as a key worker, you will undertake assessments, develop plans with families, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote positive change and improve family wellbeing.
You will work directly with children, young people, parents and carers through both one-to-one and group-based interventions, building strong relationships that help families identify their strengths and achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing Child and Family Assessments to identify strengths, needs and areas for support.
- Working collaboratively with children and families to develop and deliver effective plans for change.
- Acting as the Lead Professional for Team Around the Child (TAC) cases where appropriate.
- Contributing to holistic family support for children subject to Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, and children in care.
- Delivering group programmes and targeted interventions.
- Providing support to young carers and ensuring their voices are heard.
- Working alongside partner agencies to coordinate support and achieve the best possible outcomes for families.

North & South Kesteven Team – based in Birchwood, Sleaford and Grantham
Lincoln & West Lindsey Team – based in Lincoln and Gainsborough
East Lindsey Team – based in Horncastle, Louth and Skegness
Boston & South Holland Team – based in Boston and Spalding
