Patient Access and Safety Liaison Officer

This unique role combines reception, patient liaison, and security responsibilities, placing you at the heart of our services. You will be the first point of contact for patients, carers, visitors, and professionals, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment while working closely with clinical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, carers, and staff across Trust sites.
- Act as the first point of contact for individuals attending services, including those experiencing mental health distress or crisis.
- Manage reception duties including appointments, telephone enquiries, email correspondence, room bookings, scanning, and administrative support.
- Provide a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused service at all times.
- Monitor and maintain safe access to Trust premises.
- Respond appropriately to security incidents, panic alarms, and emergency situations.
- Support clinical teams when required with challenging or distressed service users.
- Work collaboratively with Fire Wardens and support evacuation procedures during emergencies.
- Ensure clinical and public areas are secure at the end of the day.
- Communicate effectively using telephones, radios, and Trust systems.
- Report maintenance, security, and health and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in line with Trust policies.
