Pure Staff are recruiting an experienced Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to support a growing healthcare business at their Dagenham operation. This is an unusual opportunity for someone looking for genuine part-time warehouse work, offering just 14 hours per week across two non-consecutive weekdays. Tuesday and Thursday are preferred, although there is flexibility for the right person (for example Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Friday etc).
You'll take responsibility for keeping three warehouse spaces organised, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock and warehouse areas remain audit-ready. This role would particularly suit someone with good warehouse and stock-control experience who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their own area.
Pay & Hours
- £15.50 to £16.00 per hour + paid holiday worth up to £1.93 per hour extra
- 14 paid hours per week, across two non-consecutive weekdays.
- Preferred working pattern: Tuesday and Thursday 08:00 to 15:00 or 09:00 to 16:00
- Ongoing temporary agency assignment
- There will also be a mandatory annual stocktake, normally taking place on a Saturday in either November or January, which will be paid as an additional day's work.
Your Role
As the Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator, you'll work independently across three warehouse spaces located on the same Dagenham site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries
- Checking deliveries against purchase orders and documentation
- Labelling, identifying and correctly locating stock
- Maintaining accurate stock and bin locations
- Completing warehouse transfers between storage locations
- Carrying out regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations
- Investigating stock discrepancies and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Monitoring damaged, obsolete or expired stock
- Keeping all warehouse areas clean, organised and audit-ready
- Preparing stock for internal transfers
- Coordinating supplier deliveries and collections
- Managing warehouse consumables, equipment and assets
- Maintaining accurate records using the company's inventory management system
- Completing routine warehouse safety checks
- Supporting improvements to warehouse organisation and processes
What We're Looking For
You don't need any specific licences or formal qualifications, but you must have previous warehouse and inventory/stock management experience. You'll also need to be:
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using a laptop, iPad and inventory management software
- Reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated
- Physically capable of safely handling warehouse stock
- Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams
Preferred: Experience using Unleashed Inventory Management System, another WMS/IMS platform, or working within a pharmaceutical, healthcare or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous but isn't essential.
